There're discussions about if Flyme needs icon notification or not,  with icon notifications, It's easy to understand unread messages of each app, and we don't miss important notifications; in the other hand, There're advertisement for some apps, and there will always be unread message and icon notification for those apps; icon notification doesn't look good and will cause tense feeling (like the update notification icon on IOS setting app, if you don't want to update the system, the notification will always there); and the notification panel can function like the icon notification and bring more options like read and reply message directly on the notification panel.
