Flyme 4.5 too had manual mode and auto mode.. I did not encounter this bug in Flyme 4.5 . Then why in Flyme 6 ? And more over if a camera can focus d closest object in manual mode then it should also focus it perfectly in auto mode.

Auto focus is having problems lately, I hope they fix problems in smthe stable ... I faced this same problem in Flyme 5.1.12 also and even posted this bug several times. But they did not fix it.
