aym_sharma create on 2017-05-21 13:47 No, all the custom ROM are based on the kernel developed by meizu, even the lineage os for m2 still designed on the criteria of m2 stock kernel. No new features can be ported as kernel for every device is not similar.

aym_sharma create on 2017-05-21 13:47 Enabling volte from kernel level required those libraries to support kernel listening the calls from volte stack. Volte call is done using modem driver that access APNs for volte calling and old modem may not have those calling functions which is why they did not enable volte. Thus to get volte in m2 we need new kernel with volte library and new modem driver which meizu will never gonna give as update as their business policy doesn't allow them to do that. Technology always driven by business.

Older devices like Meizu M2 will not be getting VOLTE update. You have to use JIO4GVOICE to make calls.
