Smartphone OS WarAfter world war I guess the next biggest war is of the smart phones. As I believe - the hardware industry is getting saturated. It’s important for OEMs like Meizu & many more to compete in the software space & keep innovating. Through software we can let our consumers get the best experience we want them to have. As an OEM we know stock android is good, but the user experience needs to get more better. Each smartphone vendor has it’s own customized operating system out there. I happened to get some screenshots of each of these Android based customized OS. Let me know what do you’ll think about each of them...who is ahead of the game & who is loosing it all out. 1. Meizu has Flyme 2. Xiaomi has MIUI 3. OnePlus has Oxygen OS 4. Asus comes with ZenUI 5. HTC with Sense UI 6. Samsung has TouchWiz 7. Huawei has EMUI 8. Lenovo comes with Vibe UI 9.LG with Optimus UI 10. ZTE with MiFavour UI What about Independant custom ROM like Cyanogenmod and those get released in XDA, why would you prefer them over all the above if you like them?

in my preservative the OEM whose OS in today's time works independently but also consider feasibility of user thereby ditching some their inhouse application and opt. for those with google based. are ought to bring the best out of any android devices.
here consideration can go in favor of cynogen , touchwiz and sense ui and LG's optimus. all these oem's started solo but they with time understood what they can achieve in solo and what they cannot . which in turn if consider current time. these OS mentioned above offer flexibility - in term of UI enhancement on the outer visible side. comfort - considering most user have a stong base for basic google application. security - considering user data in today's time is worth quite a fortune.

haha... World war 3 between Chinese manufacturers and the rest of the world... But yeah you are right... In the times when most manufacturers have their smartphones with similar hardware specs, its just the software that makes them stand out... Flyme is definitely one of the best out there... More frequent and stable updates would make it even better... Its good to see the entire Flyme team putting in much of efforts towards the development of its FlymeOS...

Most of the OS here are somewhat close to core Android and added extra features. But Flyme and MIUI, they are totally out of the league and tried to develop something which stands out from the vanilla. Obviously there are haters and lovers with their own reasons, but my choice always goes for the different
