CHINESE TO GLOBALDoes the conversion from chinise to Global, in a Chinese phone makes any problem? Meizu told me that chinise phone, are only compatible with chinise version, the ROM is designed for Chinese phone only. So the fact i flash the Global ROM to a Chinese phone can cause some trouble. Is that correct? Does anyone else have any issues? Like heating or fast battery drain? Thank you

Does the conversion from chinise to Global, in a Chinese phone makes any problem? Meizu told me that chinise phone, are only compatible with chinise version, the ROM is designed for Chinese phone only. So the fact i flash the Global ROM to a Chinese phone can cause some trouble. Is that correct? If you think just a minute about it, you would understand it is not correct. The phones are completely the same, the only difference is the ID, you couldn't be able to install both Chinese and global firmwares on a global model otherwise. The only reason the phones with Chinese IDs can't be installed with the global firmware by conventional means is because Meizu itself made it so. In the process of installation recovery program checks your phone's ID and rejects global firmware if it detects the ID meant for Chinese model. In Pro 5 you could easily change your ID to global by simple modification of build.prop file to make it accept global firmware, but sadly it doesn't work for Pro 6 Plus. What I'm trying to say is that it has nothing to do with the software itself but there is a small chance that the issue you are experiencing may have something to do with HOW this global software was installed on the Chinese phone (and this chance only exists because nobody knows how Chinese vendors do it). Does anyone else have any issues? Like heating or fast battery drain? Thank you I'm a member of 4pda society and I can tell that many people were complaining about battery drain on 6.1.0.0G and 6.2.0.0G firmware which was caused by Meizu's own App Store (or rather extremely poor work of the global development team from India), but the devs claim they have fixed this issue in 6.3.0.0G. So far, not one person ever complained about constant and repeatable overheating in some certain usage scenarios. If you experience this on any firmware as you claimed in your previous thread, you should probably ask for a new device or even a refund.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say here. I didn't try what? If you mean you just flash global ROM and it works it means you have a global model, not Chinese one, as you are not supposed to do so with chinese phones for the first place. I do have a global model so I am able to install both versions and so I did. I tried all of the available firmware and now I'm on the Flyme 7 daily as it it the best on my opinion.

But u used to have this overheating problem with the Chinese ROM also... You see, you don't really need it global. In fact, should you read my previous threads, you would find that I'm complaining ALOT about the horrendous quality of global development work. Chinese firmware is so much better in any possible way that it is not even fair to compare them to each other. And it is not so difficult to localize, actually, For me, it's not that big of a deal, I can use it with English locale, but other people just root the phone and use more locale if they need. For now I'm using daily Flyme 7 and almost everything is working fine. It is certainly better than global ROM, laggy and lacking essentials like NFC. And again, it never overheats even in heavy tasks, although I don't play games so no feedback on that.

I Have 2 issues with the Chinese version, 1st is that i got so many Chinese notifications of "Life" app, "books" app and all those Chinese apps that i don't want, and i think there is no way to avoid them or Uninstall them. And 2nd most important, i can handle the English menu, there is no problem, but when it comes to search a name on my contacts when i need to make a call, because my contacts names are in Greek letters , it doesn't find them, so i need to scroll aaaaall the way down

Hmm, you can just turn off the notifications of any app in the security app, section "Permissions" subsection "App notifications," didn't you know that? As for greek characters, you can root your phone and use more locale. Actually, you don't even need that, just edit the file build.prop manually from chinese location to whatever you need. To get rid of root you just reinstall the same firmware already installed on the phone without wipe. That's it. Easy, isn't it? Nobody said that your phone overheats, I SAID that MY phone overheats....... Not yours... But u used to have this overheating problem with the Chinese ROM also...
