Anyway, I've got some interesting new information. One of the Chinese vendors today revealed the secret of changed IDs. He said he just asked some guy at the factory he knows to transform some Chinese phones into global ones. He says this is the way they manage to make it possible.
It means that you basically have a global phone with Chinese model designation. Don't believe Meizu when they tell you the phone is not supposed to be installed with global firmware. It is hardware-wise the same phone, the only difference is the model name.
So if you still have that overheating problems the only way to fix it is to ask for a replacement.
