Its a joke that a phone like PRO5 will stay in Android 5.1 where all major brands are rolling update for 7.1.1 for their mid and top phones.

Flyme is simply a good idea with the most terrible execution I have ever seen in the world of OS.

The directors from Development department should all be fired because they are simply incompetent and have the vision from last century. Its not programers fault its who says them what to do.

Meizu will die as producer in a few years or will turn into a company making cheap phones for chinese people, because western consumers dont take this crap for much longer. The word is spreading and the word is... dont buy Meizu, they make great phones but have terrible OS and they dont give a crap what to they customers say,

I have my Meizu Pro 5 since 5 November 2015 and it comes with Flyme 4.5.4.0A rom.
I tryed install 4.5.4.2A rom and have many bugs and installed 4.5.4.1A and NO BUGS - really like it.
I update to Flyme 5 only with 5.1.6.0A rom and still like it and NO BUGS and either i can choose what apps notifications i want to see or not to see (Works well).

I dont understand people saying things like this: "Flyme Os sucks" "Never buy other Meizu phone".
Flyme OS is one thing and Meizu phones are other thing and i'm very happy both.

Meizu Pro 5 was the best smartphone since Q3 2015 to Q1 2016.
Now, Meizu Pro 6 plus is not the best but still's good choice: "one Samsung S7 but better price" and the same material and specs quality.

FlymeOs is like iOS ("one key", intuitive and fluid experience ) but better and with base Android (more applications available).

As everything, there are those who like and those who do not like.

To respond concretely to the original topic...Xiaomi Mi5 is better then One Plus 3 and cheaper...

This one is actually funny. Sure you dont understand because you are probabably the only Meizu user that managed to find no bugs on Flyme. Or you are blind or you dont turn your phone on, and that way phone is in fact visualy beatifull.
If you used it you would be amazed with the number of bugs each new firmware update brings. Just do a search on this forum and you will be surprised. Or just turn you phone on and try to use it. You will be WOWED.

My grandfather has 85 years old and says that is Nokia 6210 from year 2000 was the best phone from that year. I dont know why but I trust him more than you.
What makes a great phone is not great hardware specs... is what they provide to the user. In the case of teh PRO5 the hardware specs were on of the top in that period but the supporting software made it above average

Imagine you have a little Fiat 500 and somehow you manage to fit a Porsche 911 engine on it... That is exactly what Meizu PRO5 is, a great engine but the rest doesnt support its power. Software is poor, camera is so far from Samsung S7 quality with only 12 MP, battery power is good but every new firmware update reduces its duration making it not lasting 1 single day with 1 charge, Samsung S7 is IP 68 certified meaning you can put it in water for 30 minutes over 1,5 metres. Meizu has not 1 single certified phone.
Samsung has 1440x2560 super AMOLED versus the 1080x1920 from PRO6 and so many other diferences that you can check on internet.
Please dont speak of things that you dont know or worst you dont even bother to check.

AHHHHH.... After all this talk I finaly found why you are here and why you saying this things... You are replying in the wrong post. That topic must be in a Xiaomi forum or somthing. This topic is all about people saying Meizu is joking with people releasing a new Flyme version with Android 5.1 and full of bugs when all other brands are releasing Android 71.1.. Now I get it. All explained. My apologies.
