[Request] MEIZU / Flyme SANDBOX forum categoryHey guys,
Would it be a good idea to create a "Sandbox" forum category for all the wildest ideas/fantasies on future MEIZU devices, where we can debate feasibility and stuff like that, and thus keeping the "General > Discussion" more accessible and surveyable?
SignatureGoogle? No, thanks. |

Do you mean create a subsection called "sandbox"? and discussion section is already accessible in the home page quick link

MZ_JackZhang replied at 2016-09-26 03:52 In a way, yes. Very active users might find their way easily, but I find it very hard to navigate intuitively on this forum. I like how the homepage focuses on trending and important topics/threads. The sections "General", "Devices", "Suggestions", "Bugs" and "Global" can all be placed under "Categories" with a pop-up menu. Each section sould have a clear overview of all subsections. Now a category starts with an overview of "Sections and contents", which is very confusing to me. This should be simplified. I would like a sandbox- section (@Discussion), wher ppl can suggest/share all sorts of ideas for future devices and accessories. This is different than questions about choices/options and is not per se a "Debate".

If I were forum dev, I would make a clear distinction between hard- and software to start with. Everything else can be build from these 2 options. Bug report and suggestion section is a bit off-forum, and can be made 1.

Thanx for asking, Jack.
I once heard about an old Chinese wisdom quote about thirst for knowledge. I don't remember it exactly, but it went some' like this: "When a traveler is thirsty and asks for a cup of water, don't offer a full cup, because the traveler might not drink it all. If you offer a half full cup and if the traveler is thirsty for more, then you can give more. Twitter, just like Flyme, implements this philosophy perfectly. It's clean, minimalistic and everything you need is there, everything you want (option) is left out. When I visit websites, too often they project too much info at once on my eyes. It unconciously creates some sort of stress. I told you before, I love what you did with the homepage, because it takes your eyes immediately to the acion: News / Blogs / Important questions / trending topics. ...After that the chaos begins, and I would love to have that same look/feeling as the homepage or Flyme OS. Give me some time - I got lots of other stuff to do - so I can take a few screens shots and describe what I think could be an improvement. The quest is to always simplify without making (too much) compromises.
