[Debate] MX5 and its locked bootloaderWe all know that the big Android ecosystem is well known for all the custimization choices, from system mods and themes to custom roms. But why did Meizu decide to lock down the bootloader on our MX5? Is it for our privacy, our safety, or is it just a way to force us to stick with Flyme? Don't get me wrong, Flyme is great, but it's got a lot of bugs and some of them are left unsolved, and we always get the "those features are already in Flyme so there's no need to update the base android version" whenever we ask for an update from lollipop to marshmallow. I personally think that unlocking the bootloader would be a great move for Meizu, because the MX5 is a great smartphone, and lots of people would get one if they could, for example, change Flyme for CyanogenMod or AOSP (the same goes for other Meizu devices with locked bootloaders). Please, Meizu, take the example from Xiaomi and their locked devices; they offer us a simple way to unlock the bootloader, and it's a great move for that company. Think about offering that to your customers too. Sincerely, a big fan of Meizu. What do you guys think about this? | |

It would be great if meizu products would be able to develop on our own, i.e. to unlock bootloader and root all devices to install custom roms. Thats is why meizu products is have low and low interests in people
