Microsoft has acquired professional network Linkedin for a whopping US $26.2 billion, a real big news in today's tech industry. LinkedIn will remain an independent entity. Jeff Weiner will remain CEO of LinkedIn, reporting to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. The complete takeover will happen by the end of this calendar year.
