Yes I dit it las week and it works only an A version on my M792Q but you won't be able to obtain root permissions without a china phone number.... thank you Meizu dev !!! :-( Make sur to do your entire backup before installing F8 | |

User631634124 replied at 2020-02-04 19:15 The field with the Name of the device you want to root becomes available only if you are on a China ROM when apply for authorization (like in the attached screenshot). I stayed like a week on China ROM before coming back to Global ROM and when I checked mroot app, the root button turned blue and finally obtain root function on Global 7.1.0.0G. I really don't remember what phone number I provided, if it was a fake number or a real China number I found on a website
