Meizu Pro 7 Plus firmware upgrade from 6.1.2.2A Edited by plouat at 2019-02-22 06:57
Hello! I bought Meizu Pro 7 plus from a chinese website 2 years ago. Phone worked perfectly since 1 month ago when my phone's battery start to drain very fast in cold conditions (now is -10 Celsius outside). I wrote to Meizu support e-mail and got following answer from them: 1. Please use the original power adaptor and original cable to chargeyour phone. 2. After the phone is indicated 100% fully charged, then keep charging foranother one hour. (Please be noted that the phone should be in sleep mode without any operationand incoming notification on the phone during the charging, we suggest that youturn off the network and WIFI during charging) I tried that but i have same issues. I guess my battery need replacement. Any advice about this problem? Where from can i buy original replacement battery? I also read some posts on forums about new Flyme 7 version and also some issues with A and G versions. At some point i will upgrade to this version but i need some clarifications first. My Phone Build number is: Flyme 6.1.2.2A. Can i upgrade to international G version? If not, can i upgrade to latest A version? There is English language and Google service on A version of Flyme? Thank you in advance for answers!

Error message during recovery upgrade procedure "Firmware Corrupted" -
Solution: download the exact firmware (making sure the correct 'update.zip' is downloaded - check the webpage to make sure the information corresponds exactly to YOUR DEVICE eg. "Pro7 Plus") The other problems one may have is when processing appears in progress, but the phone returns to home screen and firmware is still the same, or the recovery process error message appears "Firmware not found". Remember that flashing from a "Flyme x.x.xG Stable" > "Flyme x.x.xA Beta/Stable" firmware is easily achieved. The reverse might be complicated so prepare for it by considering these points: Do not skip versions. As far as possible, advance incrementally through version series because developers may have decided to change the partition formats on which the versions would work. If you skip the crucial version where a reformat is initiated by an upgrade scr ipt, then the next version will fail to flash correctly. Flashing from Flyme x.x.xA (beta) to Flyme x.x.xG (stable) may not always succeed. It is advisable to go beta > stable, then incrementally upwards (wrt version series numbers) 1. Flyme x.x.xA Beta > Flyme x.x.xA Stable firmware 2. Flyme x.x.xA Stable > Flyme x.x.xG Stable firmware Error message "Firmware not Found" In recovery mode (phone) Select the blue text "USB for file transfer" Remain in recovery mode and connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable Phone will be mounted at folder (mount point) named "recovery" Do not be concerned that you will see no files in the folder. Find the Firmware on the PC and copy it to this 'empty' folder/mounted device named "recovery" Now back to your phone (still in recovery mode) and check "Update the system" AND "Wipe data" Then proceed with the upgrade by touching the item marked, "Start". You should check that the firmware was flashed correctly. If About phone section of settings reports your Model M793H, then you have successfully flashed global firmware
