Hello, first time posting here!

I have noticed that default messaging app consumes large amounts of data (5MB+ per day) without sending / receiving messages.  Have anyone noticed this issue?  I can stop that by stopping it from using background data on mobile networks, but still it is very strange that it uses that much data.  Does anyone know why it happens?  Thanks!!!
