adityagoenka replied at 2016-05-19 10:08 You are wrong about the flashlight... aosp has it in the notification panel since lollipop... anyway.... i get your point... But.....the good thing of aosp over a "customized os" is.... you customize it as YOU wish... with YOUR stuff.... its a blank sheet for you to take and customize (root, xposed, firewall, etc etc). A fast, battery efficient, sheet with no pre-installed things that you dont use, dont need or make it worse use exp. cof**security center!!** cof..damn my cough.. Just a thought :)

There are many points to that prove Customized ROM is better then stock , But i will put the points that are important in my view : 1) We can eliminate unnecessary bloatware 2) Easily overclock your device to make it run faster or underclock it to make it run slower while squeezing out more battery life.

All depend on what we mean by "customized". If we mean changes made by producer, than I would prefer pure android with possibility to install and modify as I want. But if we say about "custom/user" modifications, than I am fully for this, because it allows freelancers and normal users to find and fix bugs and also provide some improvements to OS.

I do not feel like posting all over again why stock is better so I'll just say this, customized android can be good but only when done properly which exclude about every single chinese oems leaving only an handful of giants such as HTC, Samsung, Sony, and even then their roms are arguably stock since it's just skinned.
So in short yay for stock and near stock custom roms but with additional features/skins but nays for everything else.

Absolutly cusom roms!

Native or stock Android is better to me... But flyme is exceptional.. Its more like stock because its fast & light. I've used many customized OS but Flyme gives the performance very nearer to the stock one.

We devs develop apps keeping stock in mind because every custom ROM is created from stock. But it becomes difficult for us to solve issues that arise on custom ROMs and not on stock. So if there are 10 custom ROMs with an issue then we would have to implement 10 different fixes. And remember if there wasn't a stock then there wouldn't have been a custom
