WhatsApp launches native Mac OS and Windows apps Edited by Rudraksh at 2016-05-11 19:09
Turns out the rumors were true, as WhatsApp has now officially announced a new desktop app. "Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device," the company said in a blog post. Available for Windows (version 8 and up) and Mac OS (version 10.9 and up), the app stays synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device, allowing you to communicate with other WhatsApp users in your list while your handset remains in your pocket. "Because the app runs natively on your desktop, you'll have support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more." Head to the Download link below to grab the new app. News Source: WhatsApp.com | |

This app sucks on Windows. It is WhatsApp web but instead of 1 tab in browser, you spend space and RAM for separate app. It still requires phone to be connected to the internet all the time, etc...
