Display Mode In Pro 6 PlusHello I'm planning to purchase a Meizu Pro 6 Plus pretty soon and I just wanted to know if the display settings allow you to change Display Modes. It's one of the most important features for me as I prefer accurate color modes.

Well, if by "display modes" you mean presets like those you can find in Samsung phones, than no, there is no such things in Pro 6 Plus. It only has "eye-friendly mode" and color temperature slider. Although colors are fine on this display, I can't say they are oversaturated or something. Display and sound are probably the biggest upsides of this phone, I never had reasons to complain about the display.
I heard Meizu is calibrating displays at the factory and those are still one of the finest displays on the marketI heard the use the very same displays Samsung intended to install into Note 7, though you know that story. I suggest you to go to a store and check the handset by yourself, you may find colors quite satisfying as they are, maybe you don't even need that option.

Oberonmeister replied at 2018-05-06 17:54 One of my biggest requirement for my next phone is a HiFi DAC with an AMOLED screen and this phone has all those in checked, and if it's true that the screen has the same one with Note 7 then I must say that this phone is quite the steal! Thanks again for the reply, one last question, so I don't have to create another thread. Have you tried the 10-bit video playback of it? My friend's S7 plays 10-bit videos easily, hoping that it would be the same story as this one.

Sorry mate, I have no idea what are you talking about. I don't watch video on the phone, I have a PC and a laptop for that. Well, very occasionally I may watch some youtube, for timekilling purposes, but usually I prefer to read books. Though, I have no reason to think it wouldn't play those 10-bit vids since it has the same chipset as S7 has (or a slightly weaker one if you go for a 4/64 version). I don't believe you will have any problems with any video playback, and I have HUGE doubts you will notice any difference in quality on a screen this small.
However you should pay more attention to the hidden quirks of this phone, namely the obsolete OS version (it really falls behind in this regard with still only Android 6.1 for a global model, which is laggy and doesn't have those nice features of newer versions like collapsable notifications that the Chinese firmware has), very mediocre camera (it was greatly improved in Chinese software but global didn't receive any improvements because the new camera uses new libraries only compatible with android 7), NFC and heart rate sensor are disabled for some unknown reason (probably because Indians responsible for global firmware couldn't adapt it, or maybe for some licensing reasons, but the last is unlikely, my phone with Chinese firmware works just fine with the local banking app and what licensing do you need for a heart rate sensor?) etc. I mean, just think about it for a minute... There must be a reason such a great phone is now selling for that cheap, right? As for me, I'm planning to switch to a V30 this fall, I'm just tired trying to adapt to this phone's weird stuff. There was no moment everything was working as I wanted, there is always something that makes you find the solution for some new problem that just appeared, instead of just using the phone and having fun.
Oberonmeister replied at 2018-05-09 01:37 Thank you for the hugely informative reply. Seems like I have no choice but to go flash the chinese ROM. The features you mentioned are just too hard to miss. I'm actually planning to do the same, but I'll wait next year for the LG V series. How's the OLED issues in V30? The successor is looming to be announce soon

Actually the box where I ordered my 6pro+ indicates that it isn't global but the seller assured me that the phone inside is carrying a global version, which makes me think if I could go back vice versa global to chinese without any issues.

Sorry mate, missed your message earlier.
About V30's OLED – I just don't know anymore. AFAIK the reviews told us the picture quality is on par with Samsung's screens, but there were some issues with burn-in. I believe those issues were dealt with for now even if they existed. Anyway, I don't really care that much about the display technology, I'm mainly aiming towards OLED because of the battery efficiency, not because I think it is somehow superior than IPS. If your phone has the Chinese ID on the box and has the global software installed, well, now you have more problems to solve It indicated that the seller installed the global version on the Chinese phone using some Chinese magic or just downloaded the dumped ROM thorough the flashfire. It means, you can't update your software or do something with it at all. It will not receive OTA and if you download the update manually and try to install it, It would at best give you an error, or at worst you gonna get a brick. However, even this most often can be fixed quite easily. Generally, this phone will only work well with Chinese software. Unfortunately, Chinese sellers don't want to share their magic tricks so we don't know for sure how do they install the global software. After all, it's not that big of an issue since the global is garbage anyway, but still, it makes the phone less versatile. I can easily switch between Chinese and global versions whereas you will not.
Oberonmeister replied at 2018-05-21 02:05 Oh that makes sense, I am on OLED for the same opinion but I also liked those inky black during binge time. Do I have to do anything special to flash the Chinese rom now? Or do I just flash it in the recovery. Hopefully I wouldn't be able to brick my phone by flashing Atmos through Flashfire. Thanks for the info though it's been very informative!

No, since the phone is already Chinese you should be able to install Chinese rom as usual. It is a global one that would require you to do something really special to be installed So special in fact that we still don't know how do they do it. The kind of magic only available to Chinese sellers.
