Flyme 5.1.4.0A Virus in System Apps Edited by djaa2807 at 2016-04-10 19:38
Hello, I refer to the article posted here: https://goo.gl/k0SCBG And through my own investgations, i installed AVG Antivirus and scanned the stock Meizu Pro 5 running Flyme 5.1.4.0A. The Antivirus says some of the system apps (i.e. Life, Videos, MzAccount) are trojan. I rooted the phone and remove those apps from the phone manually. Can meizu representative please explain why the system apps are flagged as malware ? I also investigated the network traffic of system applications and the following applications try to connect to the internet when wifi is accessible without asking for permission:
Can meizu representative please explain what these applications are trying to do by connecting to the internet ?

dude ! "A" is china mainland firmware. your all application are connected to flyme acc. hence they would acess internet for keeping up-to date your backup data.
the AVG part is something due to system application permission. which is not trojan! it have been already discussed and is under talks with various software dev. who made the same mistake.

not just avg their were many more. :) we have already initiated the matter long back 2 months ago :) and it is almost fix for global beta :)

Himanshu_singh replied at 2016-04-10 19:45 Is there a way to stop the sys apps from calling home everytime i connect to wifi ? Disable flyme account maybe ?
they would call home as it is system syncing:) and if you stop that they would not work properly. you are on china firmware mate. that is how it is supposed to work. but it shouldn't eat up any data. as they are just doing ping! not backing up any data to your acc.

syncing would stop. but not totally. as global server of flyme have been already established. so by next stable version. you would have all flyme acc, data backup feature on G firmware as well .
beta tester are testing which application shall be allowed for global user to require backup on flyme cloud rather than entire system.
