My 'lucky' saddle.  It survived France in the first world war, then survived 90 years of abuse around a New Zealand hill country farm before being given to me.  It then went on to spend 7 years as my training saddle, having dozens of young horses try their hardest to destroy it...

The leather is rotten, the stitching has been fixed with fishing line, it smells bad, it is uncomfortable..

But it is legendary!!!
