<TECH NEWS>PHONVERT HAS A PLAN TO CONVERT OLD SMARTPHONES INTO IOT NODES Edited by ark45 at 2016-03-15 09:56
While many retired smartphones still work and have usable sensors like cameras, accelerometers, touch screens and bluetooth radios, large swaths of them remain unused or, worse yet, end up in landfills. The team at Phonvert created an open source software platform that can convert old smartphones into usable IoT (Internet of Things) nodes. You install Phonvert onto your old smartphone and then you can make it usable and valuable again for a variety of tasks like: Fridge Cam, Mailbox Cam, Video Baby Monitor to name a few. https://youtu.be/DK2vU0_mXEc Is this idea safe example keep a device in fridge? Also this idea helpful to recycle device?comment below.
