Your PC crashes because of several reasons, one of them is maybe your PC is not compatible with the tool. Can you please provide me the details of your computer such as Operating System (What version of windows,MacOS,Linux, etc), is it 32 bit or 64 bit? I'll try to solve it for you as soon as possible. If that diesn't work the links to softwares on XDA are pretty old as they have been posted on the time of writing the thread.
