Flyme 6 A firmware corruptHello,
I have Meizu MX5 with flyme 5.1.11.1A and I have an update available: since 30 december 2016 I can download flyme 6.0.0.0 A. I downloaded it, I tried to install it with clear data, but it says "firmware corrupt". Why? | |

First try to update to 5.1.12.0A and than try to make Flyme OS 6, with Clear user data selected. If won't help try to do it with recovery.
If won't help, you must ask on chinese forum, as this is chinese version. | |

It doesn't exist 5.1.12.0A firmware! The latest chinese firmwares are: 5.1.11.0A and 5.1.11.1A. And as I said, I have the latest - 5.1.11.1A. So this is not a solution! Hope to get one! And regarding chinese forum vs global forum, what's that?! Two differnt forums for the same software?? Why? Keep it simple! Only one should be and in an international language, in order to be understood by everyone (English). | |

If it's giving error "Firmware corrupt", then it is sure that the download file has been corrupted.
Try downloading it again... I was on flyme 5.1.12.0G and downloaded flyme 6.0.0.0A , flashed without wiping the data from the inbuilt file explorer and worked like a charm.. | |

i tried for many times and the same error I encountered.
Yesterday, though, it worked. Now I have flyme 6.0.0.0A. Nothing special with it, no improvement  Only animation aspect from iPhone (when opening and closing an app).The big problem is: we still have the BUG with notifications. I don't receive notifications from applications, example Whatsapp. I can't believe that Meizu and Flyme OS made few releases since 5.1.6.0 but untill now they dind't solve a critical BUG. They believed that changing aspect of theme was more important that receiving notifications in right time (Very dissapointed!!! | |

iulian_m3 create on 2017-01-03 08:28 A firmware is only for Chinese people. That why we have 2 forums. Install 6.0.0.0 with clear user data. On G firmware notifications are fixed already so just wait for it. | |

I am already waiting since the flyme 5.1.6.0A.
After that, they made many updates, now I have the latest, but not solved. How can they make so many updates without solving a critical BUG? Because this is the true - it is a critical BUG, it is not a "nice to have" feature that I request from them. But they considered more important other things - like app animations and fonts. | |
