SD card and ext4 filesystem Edited by vicent4u at 2016-12-08 09:49
I've recently bought an SDXC card from SanDisk. The specs on the box are: SDSQUNC-064G-GZFMA UltrauSD 80MB/s C10, UHS When I insert it in my Windows 10 laptop the card is detected as a partition with exFAT filesystem. It is recognized by my M2 Note (Flyme 5.1.11). But Android is based on Linux so I suppose it will support ext4 SD cards. So, on my laptop, I start the Mini Tool Partition Wizard program, delete the exFat partition and create an ext4 partition with the same size. It is recognized on a second laptop running Linux. Then I insert the SD card in my M2 Note and it is not recognized. The mobile says the card must be formatted. I do it and I get an vFat partition (according to DiskInfo third-party app). That's not what I want. I'm not an expert on SD cards. Can somebody tell me what have I to do in order to get my SD card with ext4 working on my M2 Note? Thanks. | |

Well, I don't think there is any way to make it working with m2 note. You can write it in suggestions or bugs section and we will see what developers will tell about it.

Thanks for your answer. I don't think it is a bug so I'll post a suggestion.
