I have tested CRDroid based on Android 7.1.1 ported by faust93 in xda-developers. The is phone much more fast than with flymeOS, but has some lacks of functionality (screen mirror) and the fingerprint sensor works bad. I would like to see an official lineageOS in my PRO 5.
The more flattered phone at the momment is One plus 3T(write one plus 3T in youtube), why? HW and OxygenOS. OxygenOS is a stock based OS but with more options similar to lineageOS. Other brands have detected this and are doing what user prefer. Stock android with some brand applications. For example samsung is lightening their layer and users are happy with this. For me it will be perfect a lineageOS based on 7.1.1 with Flyme 6 camera app, Files app, pedometer app and working Meizy pay. With this Meizu movement my next phone will be a Pro 6 plus or Pro 7 for sure. Keeping and old android versions and full layered flyme will make me move to another brand like One plus, Vernee, with stock based roms. I know a lot of people that say "I love MX6 design....but I don't want flyme" Meizu has a very good hardware implementation with very good design, very good audio and very good quality. Users value this a lot, but we don't like the flyme layer with old android version. | |
