This is just Depressing. No updates since 3 months.I brought this phone over the likes of Xiaomi and Asus because I was satisfied with my original M1 note. But, this is just Wrong.
It's been 3 months since the last update. In the mean time, I've got 5 updates for my pixel 2xl and 4 updates for my OnePlus 5T. The security patch on this device is from November 2017. The phone hangs repeatedly even after upgrading to global version and removing bloatwares via root. Sometimes it doesn't even recognize the SD card. Snapdragon 625 may not be as good as SD835/SD845 but coupled with 4gb ram, it shouldn't hang while doing simple tasks, sadly it does. This is going to be my last purchase from meizu, I didn't buy this phone to be used as my daily driver, but as a secondary backup device, because I wanted to support the company that once used to be innovative and dedicated. That's all gone now, meizu is lacking in every aspect, they don't even care about their existing customers. Instead of releasing cheap knock-offs of popular brands, meizu should get back to being itself, to understand the end customer and give a phone that truly is value for money. I regret investing around 350$ on a poor smartphone with zero customer support and product updates. If you are wondering about buying a new meizu device, I kindly suggest you to look elsewhere. Goodbye meizu, it was fun while it lasted.

I understand your frustration, as everyone who cares does.
Indeed, it is strange that we haven't seen an update for so long and that the security patch level is so old! They do release though updates for other devices so I'll just assume they're working on our device as well. The main problem with Meizu is they focus mostly on their local market, that being A version of Flyme OS. G version for the rest of us, is a secondary issue - although I'm pretty sure our money did count as much as the rest. Maybe one day they'll realize that if they invest in the ROW market (that means, outside of China) it will be good for them. I'm really happy with my M6 Note but only because I knew exactly where I got into, as my past experience with the company (previous M2 Note owner) determined again that G clients come second to local clients.

Me too. I wonder why the price of G version is higher than China version while G support/update is worse than China version

No, I ordred on Aliexpress.com and there was no import fee. You can see the base price, G version is always higher than A version

Could some kind soul run 'SnoopSnitch' (available in Play Store) in an 'A'-version of M6 Note and see the Anroid patch level analysis.
I have 'G'- version ( Flyme 6.1.4.1G) and have: - Patched 145 - Patch missing 2 - After claimed patch level 8 - Test inconclusive 14 - Not affercted 0
