[Flyme]Flyme Security PermissionsIn Flyme 5 we have upgraded our Security app. Now it’s more powerful and more thoughtful. Security app has stronger anti-virus capability to protect your data and privacy. Features like ‘Cleaner’ and ‘Accelerator’can auto-identify junk files and unwanted contents so your storage will always be optimal. Security app also provides great Cellular data management, harassment blocking, Permission management, Files management and Power management. Lets talk about Permissions today :) Security App: We go to Permission Manager AutoRun Management: Where you can decide which all apps bootup when the phone reboots. Notification Management: You decide how many notifications can an app throw up in a day. Like I am trying to set permissions for Snapchat app. Android as a platforum was always criticized for having security loop holes. But with Flyme we have tried to bridge the gaps. Have you tried any of the permission features? Do you think they help in securing your data? Now with this ‘one-click optimization’,you can easily keep your phone in the best form and secured.

subhashvarma replied at 2016-07-10 10:39 I have tested it and monitored it, you could do the same if you want to. You need a tool like No root firewall for ANroid. Every single FlymeOS system apps from messaging, file explorer, video, music ... needs internet and talks with a Chinese server. And this problem is strong in FlymeOS. (MIUI is only a bit better in this topic. But most real global phones, are, even when they are from China like Lenovo-Motorolla.)

ultrametric replied at 2016-07-09 23:53 You maybe right, but i told about the app permission setting which gives us the ability to control what permissions that an app can have. i think Turning off flyme user experience improvement is enough, still they might collect some data but i dont think they collect all personal information Its a problem that is present in all OS as you said

It's great that i don't need to install any third party software to do this. Save my memory and data charges.

subhashvarma replied at 2016-07-09 21:53 FlymeOS constantly talks to Chinese server; all default FlymeOS apps do this. When it comes to privacy protection -> the flymeos security app does nothing. Or same said differently: Your privacy is more protected if you don't have this app. (makes one less app that talks to China.)
