B1OHazarD replied at 2016-04-02 14:13 Probably you haven't heard of the Nexus devices. Pure Android Os and they get for sure more then 3 major update during their life. Not to mention that Android has the option of custom roms, so even if official support stops, an old device still has the chance of getting upgraded to a newer firmware.

User60859852 replied at 2016-04-03 07:36 I don't speak about Nexus it's almost the same as iPhone. Made under control of Google, has pure Android and for sure longer life than any other devices, for sure Apple did look the same if agreed to spread iOS onto other devices. In this case Google is pretty much the same as Apple. One company one device. Bulletproof. Let's turn to Nexus history. For example little compare - iPhone 4s and Samsung Nexus Galaxy. I don't really care whether it was good or not. They both were made the same time. IOS base version was 5 and Nexus is 4.0. To the beginning of 2016 iPhone got fourth major update (5 years passed) nexus got last official update 4.3 in 2013. That's it. Of course you can pinch even marshmallow os on this Nexus, but we better avoid compatibility and performance issues coming. While iOS 9 on iPhone is still working out of the box (but has moderate performance). That's probably everything we should know about iOS and Android. They're pretty much the same although have their own pros and cons. After all Nexus is an advertising child for Google made for promotion of Android, so why should it look like others, right?
