How about designing a loop jacket (or phone) with electronic ink for notifications and other statuses?

I want a full notification and widget panel that I can use as home page, just like the notification lock-screen. It can be done by splitting up the control and notification panel (swipe down from top of screen, status bar) Hide the status bar! And make use of a (control or notification) panel with swipe gesture from left side of screen. @ Home-screen Flyme only uses 3 sides: top bottom n right. 90% of smartphone interaction is through notifications and widgets. It is a mystery to me why this isn't the focal point of any smartphone OS. Superapps and IoT are in the focus of today, so build your OS aroud them (or with them). Icon notifications? No, Thanx! Too much clutter, I like my interface as clean as possible | |
