Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters on Friday, July 8. Well, in the US and most international territories.  So it won’t be available on any other streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon, or Hulu.

Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth standalone Thor film, is bringing the laughs and plenty of thunder! Chris Hemsworth is back as the God of Thunder in Marvel Studios’ upcoming film.

The movie, directed by Taika Waititi, has “all the feels of a classic Thor adventure,” according to Hemsworth. After wrapping the project in 2021, the Avengers star teased that it’s going to “be bats**t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heartstring or two,” adding, “Lots of love, lots of thunder!”

There will also be lots of familiar faces from the MCU, including some of the Guardians of the Galaxy. When Will “Thor: Love And Thunder” Be On Disney+?
Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder” hits cinemas and finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But Thor’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods.

To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

While Disney has sped up the amount of time it takes for films to be released in cinemas before arriving on Disney+, it is still taking each film’s release on a case-by-case basis, depending on how well the film is doing at the box office. The more successful the film is at the box office, the longer the release to Disney+ will take.


What Is the Plot of Thor: Love and Thunder Streaming free?
Thor 4 will pick up where we last saw our favorite Asgardian. He’s traveling the cosmos with the Guardians of the Galaxy and left Valkyrie as the King of Asgard. We don’t know much about the actual story of Thor: Love and Thunder, but we know that Natalie Portman is returning to the franchise as the Mighty Thor. In the comics, Jane Foster is battling cancer while also being a superhero with the help of Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir.

Portman has confirmed that the film will tackle this storyline in the movie and that she will indeed receive the power of the gods. Like most Marvel films, this likely won’t be a direct adaptation but will draw inspiration from Jason Aaron’s comic book run on Thor.

Waititi said during Comic-Con: “When we were shooting Ragnarok, I was reading one storyline by Jason Aaron, The Mighty Thor… And for those of you who know that storyline, it’s incredible, it’s full of emotion, love, and thunder, and it introduces, for the first time, female Thor. So, for us, there’s only one person who could play that role. Only one.”


What will happen in Thor: Love and Thunder?

Waititi revealed to Empire in 2021 that Thor: Love and Thunder are “very different” from 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, which he also directed. “It’s crazier,” the director shared. “I’ll tell you what’s different. There’ll be far more emotion in this film. And a lot more love. And a lot more thunder.”



Aside from more thunder, it seems Waititi is also delivering plenty of laughs with Thor: Love and Thunder. Karen Gillan teased in a previous interview with Collider that Hemsworth’s Marvel character is even funnier this time around.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actress, who appeared in Endgame with Hemsworth, said, “The Guardians in it I think are just hilarious, and also Thor is even more hilarious than he was the last time.”

Seeing as Thor: Love and Thunder comes out in less than a month, Marvel Studios has dropped a fair few teasers, trailers, and TV spots in recent weeks. The first trailer saw Chris Hemsworth’s Thor doing some serious soul-searching, helped along with a few words of advice from Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord.

It also showed a look at Valkyrie as King of New Asgard and featured exciting glimpses at Russell Crowe’s Zeus and Natalie Portman back as a Mjolnir-wielding Jane Foster.
