The battery life is the same like 5.1.5.0G, for me is good enough. It is almost like 4.2.8.2, the best firmware for me. I don't have any problems with notifications.
If you have international MX4 like me, to update to any A firmware, you have to downgrade to 4.5.7i, then 4.0.4i and then you can install 5.1.7.0A. You have to do this every time you want to update your phone. If one day you take decision to go back with G firmwares, you have to again go with the same procedure.
