Though I'm in Flyme department, I don't think paid update will work; as mentioned by the other users, firstly android is open sourced, 2ndly the trend is going with free updates, including dest top OS like windows and OSX; manufacturers can get profit from other aspects, but not the OS updates

Yes, I'd be ready to pay for an update included package. Only if it's at the time of purchase.

Provide the Source as well from where you took the info

They have to be free. But after 2 Years if the manufacturer ask for litle amount of money to continue provide updates for the next 2 Years I will accept. For small amount I think $10. It will be better than buying a new phone.
What do you think about that? | |

Obviously not..

No way... if producer would ask me to pay for more frequent updates I would sell my phone ASAP...

Android is open source, Android market is over populated and I will buy a phone from this competitive market from a brand which provide regular update and do not charge for the update. Of course the brand need to have stand out points too to survive in the market.
