I had created the thread after all tests so bricking phone following the steps, is not possible. Whether you logged out from your phone first. Without logging out phone may get soft bricked, that's why I said in my thread to log out first in order to downgrade your phone. Though you have managed to recover it, it's good thing. Remember the steps, I told in that will only work on m2 and m2 note. m3 and upper version will not work. Also all the steps has to be followed in order.

I hadn't wrote that thread for custom ROM, but for flyme ROM. Don't follow my thread to flash custom ROM, because to install custom ROM you have to have flyme 4.5.4 intl on your phone.
