Tymcio replied at 2016-01-03 03:15 Why do you need Android 6.0 ? :)
|
|
API isn't related to Android 6.0, it depends on Meizu to share it.

Tymcio replied at 2016-01-04 17:52 I know there are as much Fingerprint API as OEM implementations, that is why we need a common Android system API. No 3rd party fingerprint enabled application will use Meizu's own implementation, I can guarantee it.

Well, who knows :) Everything depend on market share. If Meizu will have big market share, then 3rd party apps will implement it, like they do always :)
But, as I wrote, I wouldn't expect Android 6.0 too soon, as Flyme OS 5 (which is also on Android 5.1) isn't fully finished yet.

Tymcio replied at 2016-01-04 18:01 They can change the android base under flyme, just like XIAOMI does with MIUI, and android 6.0 is rather just a 5.2 and there is flyme 5 for android 5.0 and 5.1 in parallel so I don't see any reasons why not. I really hope they will do it in the near future, it is their absolute flagship.
