infinity sign?why do I have a infinity sign at top left corner of my screen? what does it mean? I only have 1 notification on by drop-down box tho

An infinity sign is shown when the notification being shown is persistent or doesn't have a specific end time. It is done to avoid notifications cluttering the entire status bar.
