You just need to be more patient. Meizu is a chinese company and they need to stick to their country regulations (censorship) when it comes to Google services. Their main priority still are there citizen as this are their main market, it only happens that Meizu try to be more mainstream so not only china but also the rest of the world can own their devices.

Mobile OS is different, it has a lot of coding and hardware compatibility testing before you cannot just jump on another OS. Aside from that building a new firmware cost a lot to develop, you can't just build a firmware then in the end only few devices can benefit. Buy a Nexus device if you are into having the latest Android version.
