Both technologies are same with just different brandings. Vivo, oppo and oneplus are sister companies of BBK electronics. So supercharge is still the fastest charging tech around as mate 9 has a bigger battery than oneplus 3 & 3t. I think vooc is good technology than mate's smart power or Samsung's adaptive fast charging or meizu's coming "mcharge"..vooc uses 5v 4 A (20w)charger instead others 9 v 1.67A(15w) to reduce temperature rise. Meizu's mcharge may use 12 V 2A (24W)charger to speedup charge, after attain 60% it may reduce to 9V. But u should feel a hot pan on ur palm, also battery life should be decrease with this technology with Lithium Iron or polymer batteries.

Well, I don't think the phone will get hot but the charger will. The claims being made here by Meizu are crazy, if they have developed such fast charging method then that'll definitely require a compatible battery, charger and cable. For the VOOC part, dash charge on OnePlus, VOOC and supercharge (not sure about Qualcomm's quick charge) all these technologies are designed while keeping in mind that the phone does not heat. What heats is the charger.
