same problem here, so i uninstall again gmail and google apps using google apps installer then you should reboot your decice and install again google apps using google installer then install gmail again using playstore. hopefully problem solved

As for me the MasRadhon's solution did not help: after 24 hours or less GMail starts say that it couldn't sign me in.

the problem was solved by wipe, and updating flyme. do not backup apps, spend time, and reinstall all of them. after wipe, and updating the firmware, reboot phone, and install google apps from installer in hotApps. (m3s)

try using data connection, not wifi. had problems before like this but once I tried this procedure, everything went back to normal.
