System Update on Meizu Pro 7I have a Meizu Pro 7 phone that's currently running 6.1.3.2A. I'm trying to see if there are OTA Software Updates but i can't find the Update option in the settings. When i try to search for the Update App through the Search screen, i find it but it does nothing when i tap on it. Anyone having the same issue? and any idea why this is happening?

I suppose you bought your phone from "cect-shop"? They sell phones with a modified verison of the asian firmware with added languages. They have also disabled the option to update via OTAs due to the simple reason that this would remove their homemade firmware. Do not despair though! Its really easy to update to the newest asian firmware. This wil grant you access to OTAs and security fixes, though it will remove all languages except for chinese and English. So if youre fine with using english as your primary languages on the phone, id recommend updating. The only drawback ive noticed with having the asian ROM (currently im running 7.0.0.0A) is that some parts of the phone is still in chinese, mainly the weather app. This is barely noticeable, only the 2nd display shows chinese signs instead of letters. Do you have the P25 or the X30 version of the phone? | |

 how do i know if i have the P25 or x30 version? the model i have is M792QL. i downloaded the latest version in the chinese store but when i enter recovery mode, it doesn't let me continue, and i dont understand the language. | |

migs_isip replied at 2018-05-21 00:23 Well, it probably said when you bought the phone. if you still have access to the phone, go to settings->about phone and you will see "model". if it says PRO 7-S you have the P25 one, if it says PRO 7-H its the X30 one. Its important to download the correct verison (and make sure the the firmware doesnt end with a G !!) then you go into recovery and connect your phone to your computer, drag and drop the update.zip into the phone (it should be named Recovery in the computer menu). when the file is transferred you tick BOTH the boxes on the phone menu, update AND delete files (or whatever the other one says). after that press start and wait | |

ARe you going to the correct app store? there are two, one with an "m" on it with a chinese name,

I have the model 'M792Q-L'' and unfortunately I have the same problem with the update. There is no drag and drop the update.zip into the phone (it should be called Recovery in the computer menu). Is there a way to update the phone with a PC software? Such as. Sp Tool for Android HAndys? Thanks Greetings | |

NK_Badal： You will download the A version. A version is the Chinese version and G version is the Global Version. As your device is already running A version, so please update to stable A version. Also A version
