Android, the most widely used Mobile Operating System comes with a bunch of useful features. And on the top of it, Flyme OS increases user experience by offering more useful features! This can be enhanced by some tricks!



In this thread I will share some of these tricks and also hidden features in Flyme OS that can be accessed by an App.




 





Requirements:


1. An app called "QuickShortcutMaker" link here



2. ADB and Fastboot on PC [For one trick]




So let's start:


Some Hidden Features-


Turbo Download Mode:


Helps to download Large Files (Over 20 MB) with Wifi and 3G/4G Network at the same time. this makes download faster.


 


How to access:



1.Open QuickShorcutMaker ( Abbr. QSM) App



2. In list search for "Turbo Download"


 


3. Click on it!



Voice Unlock:


Unlock your device quickly with your voice by speaking some pre-defined words (commands).



 


How to access:


1. In QSM search for "com.mediatek.voiceunlock" and open it!



 



Pointer and Heart Rate:


Pointer can be used for Games or other Activites. Heart Rate feature is useful to measure heart beat per minute!


 


 


How to access:


1. In QSM search for "Toolbox" App and these both are under it!



 



Easter Egg


The Android Easter Egg can't be accessed from the settings in Flyme. But the game on Android Lollipop and Marshmallow is funny and time killing!



 


How to access:


1. In QSM search for "SystemUI" and you will get option for Easter Egg!





 



Some Useful Tricks:


Reduce Animation


Animations enhance experience but also reduce performance and battery! You can reduce animations or even set for No Animations!



How to access:


1. Enable "Developer Options" and set animation scale there!



 


2. Using ADB on PC: Execute these commands



adb shell settings put global window_animation_scale 0.0


adb shell settings put global transition_animation_scale 0.0


adb shell settings put global animator_duration_scale 0.0


Replace 0.0 with desired value





Increase Performance and Battery Life


Close background apps and also limit the number of apps which run in Background!

Increase Gaming Performance:
