User543517500 replied at 2017-02-11 01:37 Nice that you found the site from which I've reused the steps to flash the global ROM on my device. I want to apologize, because I mentioned that I had 5.2.11.3A, it's true, I did have it but when I flashed to Global ROM my phone was on BETA Chinese version, more exactly the 6.7.1.17 beta. You can find it here: http://www.flyme.cn/firmwarelist-99.html#3 Select "A" and just press the buttons until you see in the descr iption "6.7.1.17" This means, if you want to follow my exact steps, you need to download and update to 6.7.1.17 beta version and then root it and install superSU and flashfire, as you did with the 5.2.11.0A version. And very important to remember!!!!! Keep the Chinese beta update.zip in the root directory of the phone. If something fails, the fast boot will take the update and recover your phone. In flashfire just select the global update from whatever location you have it. Let me know you have succeeded. Cheers, Eugen

eugen88 replied at 2017-02-09 16:40 thank you for this information, it has helped me to get further into the flashing proces. Unfortunately I still didn't managed to flash the global rom. So here is the basic info: I have the M5 Note from China, Flyme 5.2.11.0.A I have gained the root access via the Flyme Account and Root permissions - phone rebooted, everything seems fine but root is not working correctly, I still have to use KingRoot to successfully use root. With the information you provided I have checked this post: alegrecompra.com/blog/tag/meizu-mx6-suspersu-flashfire I think this is the one you mentioned. To get it work for me I have to use SuperSU ME to get rid of the KingRoot and get SuperSU working. When I do that I proceed with the FlashFire, I have downloaded the update.zip from the link in the first post and set the FlashFire as said in the spanish link. Everything seems to be working, FlashFire installs the ROM but for a very short time I think I have seen a message saying "system partition has unexpected contents after ota update". After that FlashFire proceeds with the Wipe and I get the Chinese firmware again but wiped of course. I have tried this process twice, it took me hours to even get the FlashFire working to find out that I can't flash the Global ROM. I would really appreciate if you could provide some more information about how did you managed to install the Global ROM or maybe some tips for me to get it working. My last concern is that at this state I have no backdoor if something goes wrong with the FlashFire installation. Is there a way to get a ADB backup or some other safeguard just to be safe? Thank you in advance Tomas

User5201419152 replied at 2017-02-09 18:31 I had 5.2.11.3A. M5 Note is not YunOS based, I believe it is MarshMallow. To gain root access, the "User Center" needs to be installed on your device afterwards navigate in "Fingerprint and security" and you'll find "Root permission" Cheers
