All about battery life and charging cycle Edited by Pulak at 2016-09-17 11:25
There are mainly two ways we charge cellphone batteries - charge it when it’s dead, or charge it every night. Now a days phones, tablets and laptops all comes with lithium-based batteries. The conventional ideas says completely discharging a lithium battery permanently degrades its lifespan. Standard suggestions for battery maintenance Keep your phone at the right temperature (room temparature around 27 degree celcious) and adjust your settings to use your battery less. Charge the battery to 100% and then completely exhust it, if not regularly, then on a monthly basis. Key performance points Measuring Battery Performance: When evaluating any kind of performance, engineers need a metric. The standard lifespan metric of battery is “number of charging cycles (Completely exhust the battery and then charge it to 100%) through which the battery can retain 80% of its original capacity”. Temperature: Temperature play a big role in battery lifespan. Most batteries are designed to operate at room temperature, and both hot and cold temperatures accelerator aging. Also note that battery capacity will fade over time regardless of your usage habits because the chemicals simply break down. Shallow cycling: Shallow charging cycling do not degrade lifespan of lithium based batteries. That means do not let the battery dain down to 0, charge it again to 100%. Battries will work just the way it should work with complete charging cycle. | |

Does M3 Note battery life reduce if the battery is completely drained to 0% and charging to 100% full charge? Also is there any pblm will occur if the charger plug is removed without completing full charge?
