Using camera will not free the ram used after clearing/exiting appAnyone faced this problem? The problem I am facing right now is everytime I use camera app, stock camera app, google camera, etc., it will use some ram (of course) but after exiting the camera app, the ram seems not cleared automatically. I understand free ram is wasted ram, but the problem I encountered is the ram used by the camera is still there without any app using it, makes the multitasking harder. I put screenshot here to make it easier to understand:
1) my free ram about half after restart. I opened all kind of apps (not camera app) and clearing the memory, it reset back to half free memory. 2) when using camera app, the ram usage is staying there without freeing the ram used even after cleared all app in task manager. if I only take picture, the ram taken is not that high, but from the image i uploaded, I recorded 4k video and look how much ram is taken: 
3) I found this problem on global and china rom, tried flyme 4/5/6 (currently flyme 6 latest chinese beta), but the problem is still there. Anyone facing this problem? | |

tried several Flyme tried including 4.2.8.2A/I, Flyme 5 latest G stable and Flyme 6 chinese beta/stable, all of them wont reset the RAM after recording/using camera. i am not much expert into this, but i guess there is some leaking in camera memory that nobody in meizu want to peek on it (i mean several flyme version already, come on). it is very annoying to have restarting the phone just want to clear up the wasted memory. as i said earlier, i have less ram left for app after using camera especially after recording 4k video, i got like 1/4 free ram left. it makes the phone lag so much just opening few apps.
But now i am using Flyme 4.0.4 international, no more RAM problem, is fluid for multitasking including using the camera, free ram 1/2 all in standby after using camera all the time. well i guess i will just stick to this version unless someone take an action to the RAM problem of the newer Flyme. i hope this solution will help someone in problem like me. well, i guess meizu is more focusing on newer device, it is understandable. i guess old flyme is the one that they put their most effort in optimizing this phone. by the way Flyme 4.0.4 with MX4 is not bad at all, just kitkat. but OLD IS GOLD. | |
