Global team has much less devs than Chinese team that's why updates take a long time to arrive. And Meizu cannot port A firmwares to G because MTK does not allow it. They have to build the firmwares from the ground up. Update will be released as soon as finished.

rudra964 create on 2017-05-20 16:25 Ok, then just tell me one thing if they do not have much of the developers for Global then How was Meizu able to provide Flyme 5 updates each month? Secondly, if really they do not have developers then they should have focused on giving a single update including VoLTE and other required features rather than wasting 6 months of Global users by providing 2 Betas and in this way keeping their hopes alive that they will provide VoLTE (which will not be available till October).

Shady_Ankit replied at 2017-05-21 07:16 Ok, first of all writing essays won't bring the firmware faster. 2nd You don't look good ranting about things you have no idea about. Have you ever seen how a firmware is made? 3) Devs were able to provide monthly updates for devices because the firmware was already there. They just had to fix some bugs and add some feature related modules. ME note was an exception here too. It took months because there was no firmware for it. And talking about Flyme 6, devs don't just change the UI and call it an update. If I gave you a list of under the hood changes it will take days for you to understand what they even mean. So, devs have to build the firmwares from the ground up for all the devices. That is the reason why it takes so much time.
