Flyme Stable 6 will out in April. No Android version change (Lollipop devices will stay with Andorid 5.1)

I read a post about MEIZU updating Flyme's Android base from 5.1 Lollipop to 6.0 Marshmallow. The post did not say when will this base update will be released, but it said it will be first released for Flyme 6 China and then for Flyme 6 Global.

Pradeep_Nandi replied at 2017-03-25 09:36 If you mean the Navbar, go to: /system and open build.prop file. Edit "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" to "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" and "ro.meizu.has_smartbar=false" (add the "ro.meizu" line if it does not exist at the end of the code). Turn off your phone normally, then boot it up. Wait for 5-10 minutes for the "Optimizing apps" progress bar to appear. If it doesn't, restart the phone by holding the Power button until it turns off. When it turns off, immediately let it go. It will reboot automatically. Wait for another 5-10 min for the "Optimizing apps" to appear. When it finishes. you're OK! (WARNING: This worked for me. Change the lines as shown. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE or edit the code given. e.g. "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" to "qemu.hw.mainkeys=2". If you do so, you have corrupted a system file and your phone cannot boot. You must flash the firmware manually from the Recovery menu.) | |
