Genuine icons in the notification bar/shadeWith all the recent talk of Flyme 6 and its many improvements, which I'm really looking forward to, there is literally only one thing that is bothering me (and many other users, I'm sure) and that thing is - genuine/original icons in the notification bar/shade.
There were some queries in this regard before, but they were all related to this issue in Flyme 5. A lot of people didn't like the fact that the system could only show the infinity sign icon and some other generic ones, with no original icons provided by apps. So, my question is: Will Flyme 6 show genuine/original icons for different apps in the notification bar/shade?

It shows original icons for more apps now. Still Infinity icon is there for other 'not so common' apps. The infinity icon is there for not clogging the status bar with so many app icons.

Rudraksh replied at 2017-03-03 16:58 Well, support for more icons is a good start, but is definitely not enough. I'm sure most users want to see the original icons, the 'clogging' is not their concern. For example, I have a very minimal set up, with only one icon always present in the left corner of the notification bar, and this icon is from a phone automation app that displays various icons depending on the currently active profile/rule, which sometimes tells me important info. In this case, seeing the infinity icon would mean nothing to me. And this automation app is a 'not so common' app, even though it's better than Tasker imho. The point is, Flyme seems to be making a lot of choices for users without asking the users. Anyway, thank you for the quick reply.

Krsman replied at 2017-03-03 17:33 Yes thats there, but this was what I knew and I told you. Rest, you can try Flyme tools if you are too desperate for the icons

Rudraksh replied at 2017-03-03 19:26 Yes, I already thanked you, and I do appreciate your reply. It's not that I'm desperate for icons, the issue here is that such a native and basic Android function of displaying icons in the notification bar is deliberately prevented by Flyme decision-makers, without even consulting the users. Flyme Tools is a nice little tool, but users shouldn't have to look for alternative ways to use a function that is literally in the essence of Android. But hey, who knows, maybe Flyme people will decide to incorporate the function before Flyme 6 is officially released..

So, can anyone confirm that the issue has been resolved?
Do we have original icons in the status bar now or are there still the infinity sign and bubble icon there? I'm planning to buy a Meizu 16 when it's globally released, that's why I'm asking. Cheers
