Do custom ROMs really transform your phone?

In some parts, Custom ROMs dominate over Stock ROMs (in terms of extra features, stability, customizability). I'm comfortable with any of the ROMs

I think you have to give the possibility to change ROM once you no longer supported your phones.

Meizu owners can't escape the prison.

Custom roms are very important when the manufacturer doesn't release update. For example, for M2 Note LineageOS is based on Nougat and includes last monthly security patches. On the contrary Flyme 5 is based on Lollipop and doesn't include monthly security patches. I don't know about Flyme 6 but I encourage Meizu devs to update Android base and listen the user suggestions. Flyme is a very cute rom and gestures are awesome, but there are too compromises. | |

I used many custom roms before (MIUI, CyanMod, AOSP), but now Google is starting banning it with it's certification... And unfortunately they are going to do the same with Meizu and Flyme OS if you won't do anything
