Meizu PRO 5 Mini Leaks And Gets Compared To Meizu PRO 5...

Meizu
has introduced a couple of interesting phones last year, but the Meizu PRO 5 is certainly the most interesting one. This is the company’s flagship phablet, it is made out of metal, and it is fueled by the Exynos 7420 14nm 64-bit octa-core processor. This is Samsung’s chip which is regarded to be one of the best (if not the best) mobile processors of 2015. Meizu PRO 5 is actually the only non-Samsung device to sport this processor, and aside from this SoC, the phone is also equipped with an AMOLED display, 3 / 4GB of RAM, 21-megapixel camera, and more.

That being said, the Meizu PRO 5 has been available out in the market for quite some time now, and rumors say that Meizu plans to introduce the Ubuntu-powered variants of this device during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona which kicks off soon. Some of you might recall that the Meizu PRO 5 Mini was mentioned in several rumors in the past, a smaller PRO 5 flagship which is expected to be announced in the coming months, even Meizu’s VP hinted that it might launch in H1 2016. Well, a new image leaked in China, allegedly showing off this device. If you take a look at the image below, you’ll get to see the Meizu PRO 5 (left), and the alleged PRO 5 Mini sitting on a desk next to it. Now, these two phones look almost identical on the first glance, but the PRO 5 Mini seems considerably smaller, and its LED flash and Laser Autofocus sensors are placed horizontally, not vertically. This might be yet another proof that this phone actually exists, and that Meizu will introduce it at some point this year.

The Meizu PRO 5 Mini will, allegedly, sport a 4.7-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display. Considering the PRO 5 features a 5.7-inch panel, this would surely be more appropriate for people looking to buy a smaller smartphone, not a phablet. The device will, according to rumors, going to be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and will ship with 3 or 4GB of RAM on the inside. The same 21-megapixel snapper that is used in the PRO 5 will probably going to ship in the PRO 5 Mini as well, and a 3,000mAh battery has also been mentioned. The phone will also feature the ‘mBack’ physical home button below the display, which will double as a capacitive back key, and a fingerprint scanner. On top of all this, you can also expect it to ship with fast charging capabilities.
