Meizu Pro 7 leaks in new images, has a capacitive Home key Edited by User58568992 at 2016-11-25 03:15
Meizu Pro 7 leaks in new images, has a capacitive Home key The Meizu Pro 7 has leaked numerous times throughout the past few months but instead of making it official, Meizu has released the Pro 6s instead. While previous reports put the Pro 7 on track for a Christmas release, company's VP officially pushed back the flagship release for 2017. Once rumored to run on the latest-gen Exynos chip, the Pro 7 is now said to come with the new Kirin 960 chipset found in the Mate 9 series. It should look a lot like the Galaxy S7 edge thanks to the curved (which would mean AMOLED) screen, while it's back is all metal with the new subtle antenna design first seen on the Pro 6. Most of the leaked pictures so far hinted Meizu has kept the mTouch Home key, which had 3-in-1 functionality - fingerprint scanner, Back on tap, and Home on click. But today's new images reveal otherwise. The new Meizu Pro 7 pictures to escape in the wild suggest Meizu will be returning the capacitive Home key last seen on the MX4 and M1 Note. And since Meizu will be offering fingerprint security on its next flagship, it will be most probably an ultrasonic sensor behind the front glass. The new pictures also put to sleep, rumors for a dual-camera setup on the back, which flourished after a previous Pro 7 renders leak. So, the Meizu Pro 7 may not be coming this year, but the year is almost over anyway. And it makes sense, since the company has little time until the end of this year to release Meizu Pro 7 of whether could happen, is a matter of time.
SignatureI love new generation of MEIZU devices. |

The design is nice but i only doubt weather that capacitive button will be present in the actual model rather than The mBack key
as there's a patent issue with ZTE

Yeah I had come across some more pictures of this same device too... Not sure if its true but it would be quite weird if Meizu ditches its mBack button...

subhashvarma replied at 2016-11-25 05:33 I understand that the ZTE use, capacitive Home key , as well as a bunch of other Chinese companies use the same capacitive Home key, but MEIZU may again revive with new technology Introducing Sonavation's touch sensor under glass technology. Touch sensor under glass is the next frontier. Older capacitive Home key that MEIZU have the used in MX4 and the M1 Note may again resurrects with the touch sensor under glass is the next frontier. For that this it it seems to me doable.

brian_rodrigues replied at 2016-11-25 15:31 So there would be no need of mBack button if Introducing Sonavation's touch sensor under glass technology. Touch sensor under glass is the next frontier. Then it would be better to use capacitive Home key in MEIZU devices.
