When will m2 note get bootloader unlocked? Edited by lnter98 at 2016-07-16 04:51
I want to use the cyanogenmod on m2 note. But due to bootloader locked and no kernel source code...no one can work on it. I hope meizu could open bootloader unlocked access and release kernel source code as soon as possible.

You'll get a folder with FlashTool, Phone drivers and unlock images. 2.Install drivers for Mediatek platform. 3.Flash the temp-unlock-secro.img via Flashtool. 4.Flash secro.img, lk.bin, preloader_meizu6753_65c_l1.bin via Flashtool. 5.Disconnect USB data cable and power on the phone. If you see the "=>Normal boot" sign(it's quite small.......) in the left bottom cornor of the screen, then the unlock is done. You can now flash things in whatever way you like. The guide is over~~~ I hope xda-developers can help work out a recovery image If you can port the recovery and it works well, just leave a comment here I need that very much PS: I tried to port a TWRP recovery from Elephone P8000 but the screen is upside down I tried to add ro.sf.hwrotation=180 in default.prop but it didn't work And I also tried to add setprop ro.sf.hwrotation 180 in init.rc. It didn't work as well Who can help fix this? Or I need to compile the TWRP myself?) aerial25 replied at 2016-07-16 03:35 But i don't think meizu unlock bootloader will take bad effect on security.Because users can decide whether they unlock bootloader. And bootloader unlocked operation can be operated under Flyme account. So the so-called "security issue" should not become an excuse of meizu to refuse users to unlock bootloader. I think Huawei and Xiaomi are good example on this.

Kevin.MX replied at 2016-07-15 10:30 This is a kind of deed which is against GPLV2. I think meizu should release the kernel source code immediately . And they should also allow user to unlock bootloader. this is a basic right of the users.

If Meizu release the kernel source it might be an easier work...But almost all Mediatek source are NOT released, which is against the GNU public license(GPL)
