Google Play, Gmail and Google Maps issues, PLEASE helpHello, yet again. My Pro 7 and I don't seem to be getting on very well lately. This last month has been one problem after another, sadly.
So, the problems (yes! Plural) this time: When I open my Play Store app, it says "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google account". I am already signed into my Google account, so I don't know what to do. I looked online and some people said to delete the account from the device, turn the device off and on, and then add the account again. I couldn't even delete the account. I went to Settings --> Account and sync --> my Google account, and I clicked "Remove account", but I got an error message saying "This change isn't allowed by your administrator". Also, when this happened, I also saw that there is a sync error message that says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly"... it's been 2 weeks. That is not my definition of "shortly", but okay. Since then I have noticed that the last time Gmail synced was on the 2nd of July, which is exactly a week ago now. I tried to sync it, but it doesn't work, and when I try to sync from the Gmail app, it also doesn't work, so I now haven't been receiving any e-mails on my phone at all. Through all this, I decided to do a little experiment with another Google account I had on my phone. I successfully deleted it, but now I can't add it to my device again. It's not an important account, but I'd like to have it back. And, just today, I realized that Google Maps also isn't working. I am about to scream out of frustration. If someone could save my faith in Meizu and Flyme, that would be greatly appreciated. I love my Pro 7, but I'm quickly losing my patience and I am seriously considering going back to Samsung or LG, which, for me, is highly over-priced, but at least the OS works. Please help!!! Oh, and I was on Flyme 7.1.0.0A when all this started, then I updated to 7.2.0.0A, hoping it would fix it, but nope! No change. Yes, I already spoke to people from Google about all of this and they told me the issue is with the device, not my Google account. And, if anyone who reads this also knows how to fix my problems with two games that I downloaded, which I've mentioned in another forum (Game Issues on Flyme 7.2.0.0A), that would be great.
