Cell phone radiation awarenessA major study conducted by the National Toxicology Program has found a positive correlation between radio-frequency radiation exposure (like that given off by phones) and certain cancers in rats — though only male ones. The two-year, peer-reviewed study involved thousands of rats, each of which received one of several carefully controlled doses of radiation daily for two years (including a control group that received no radiation at all). Two to three percent of rats exposed developed glioma in the brain, and one to six percent developed schwannoma of the heart. There are three main reasons why people are concerned that cell phones (also known as “mobile” or “wireless” telephones) might have the potential to cause certain types of cancer or other health problems.

Well, yes children under 10 should not use cellphones.
Also, Cellphones emit radio waves, which is not harmful to us. Even we have SAR values, which has a limit, which the manufacturers will not cross. So we are safe from cellphone radiation. But yes, the phones having greater values may show some long term effects! | |
